Frey Hut
Following a great trip to Iceland where we bumped into Argentine ski guide Jorge Kozulj, Amy and I inquired about the possibility of heading to the Andes in August and skiing the terrain surround the famous Frey Hut. By chance, Jorge was organizing a Mountaineering Ski Camp during our targeted dates and was including ski pros Hoji and Chris Rubens in the group as well. So what do you do when you have the best guide in the country and two Canadian Ski pros to learn from? You get on a plane and head to Argentina…
Frey Hut is perhaps the most iconic hut in South America. A reasonably straight forward approach gets you to this incredible access point with wonderful terrain out the backyard.
Featured in A Skier's Journey at the 5:12 mark, Frey is clearly a favorite for Chad Sayers and tons other skiers who have made the trek to Bariloche.
Guide: The one and only, Jorge
