Lofoten Islands - Arctic Circle

The Lofoten Islands are a chainlink series of islands in Northern Norway that fall into the Arctic Circle.  While still relatively undiscovered, "Lofoten" is quickly gaining international attention for the endless ski possibilities.

There are a few different guiding options to pursue but I would highly recommend Northern Alpine Guides.  Owner Seth Hobby and his wife have restored an old fishing wharf and transformed it into one of the coolest ski lodges you'll ever visit.  The food is excellent and the lodge toys have everything from pong, instruments and a sauna to a full shed of kayaks, SUPs and other items.

This place is incredible and if you fancy an arctic surf, check out the world famous "town" of Unstad.  This feature video was shot at Northern Alpine Guide's lodge and the surrounding terrain, just a short drive away.  And if Ingrid Backstrom vouches for a global ski destination, you know it has to be good.
