Wallowas
The Wallowa Mountains are a series of jagged peaks in East Oregon that offer incredible tour accessed ski terrain. A multi-hour drive from Boise, Idaho will get you to the town of Halfway, Oregon which is not half way to anything - its in the middle of nowhere.
The trailhead is a few miles up the road and the guides with Wallowa Alpine Huts will ensure a pretty epic ski itinerary, especially when based out of the Camp Norway Yurt, a two-story structure complete with musical instruments and good food. Highly recommend.
